I'm pretty excited that I was accepted to be on Bekah E creative team. You'll be seeing layouts using her fun excited products. She creates kits & wordart.

Water Lovers

I'm really loving this new kit by SAS Designs called Water World. You may know that we love to be on the water & we own wooden boats.

I also used a template set called For Starters Template Set 6 12x12 by Colie's Corner to create my latest layout I called Water Lovers.

Speed Scrap at Scrappity-Doo-Dah

I was able to join in on the speed scrap at Scrappity-Doo-Dah last night. I stayed up so late that I could hardly see. I guess that is a true addiction. I had a great time & got some great participation prizes. But the best thing is that I was inspired to create another layout.
I used a kit by Laura M Designs called It's My Life. It's also available at Scrappity-Doo-Dah. I think the greenery & beige/brown colors in the kit are so yummy. She has the cutest bugs in this kit. It's an awesome find & was fun to use.

Speed Scrap at MLAS

I was excited to be able to join in on the Speed Scrap on Sunday at My Life and Scrap. I created this layout using the June Mega Kit from Bits2Kits called A Father's Love.
I learned a new technique of coloring in only a portion of a photo to make it stand out. That was my first time using this technique & I loved the result.

Photos By Nathan

I think it’s fun to see the world from the eyes of a four year old. Nathan asked to borrow my camera so he could take some pictures. I told him to be very careful, no jumping around, etc. I showed him how to hold the camera & begged him not to drop it. Kaityln was his favorites subject in the beginning. He stood just a foot away from her & snapped his photos. Later he ventured out to take photos of his favorite things: boats, his new spiderman curtains, and his construction equipment. I think the foot photo was just a mistake, since he identified it as his own foot.

SYTYCD contest at DSA

Are you following the contest SYTYCD? I am & I'm anxiously waiting to see the results. I guess the winner doesn't matter much to me. I think they are all winners, plus how can you just pick one winner. In my opinion, we each have our own style that suits us. Wouldn't it be boring if we were all the same & scrapped exactly the same. I think the fun comes when we all have different styles & different likes.
I made a layout using one of the kits from the last week - Lyndsay Riches - My Favorite Things Week 5. I think she did a really nice job choosing colors and designer her elements. I really enjoyed working with her kit during the speed scrap on Friday.

Speed Scraps

I'm a sucker for Speed Scraps. They inspire me to create layouts I wouldn't normally create. I think that is pretty cool. I also think it is amazing that the whole group has the same instructions & the layouts come out so differently. It's so fun to review the layouts after the scrap hour is done & see what the others have created.

On Thursday night, I found a Speed Scrap at Pretty Scrappy. I had never been there before so I had to quickly register myself in the forum & gallery before the scrap started.

I used a new collection of kits called Tuscan Days by Helen. I also found a picture from a wine party back in 2004. The neighbors of my father-in-law hold the wine party every year. When I found the picture on Thursday, I just knew I wanted to scrap it. I looked so young, relaxed & thin. (it was pre-babies)

Helen's new collection of Tuscan Days kits can be found at GoDigitalScrapbooking.com.

I'm in Love

It's true, I fell in love with the latest kit I won from Rina called Something Nautical. This is actually my first time using a kit by Rina. I was overjoyed to see I won the kit at DSA. When I unzipped the kit, it was better than I ever imagined. Anyone that knows me knows that boating is a big thing in my family.

My husband restores wooden boats & we own a handful of them that we love to use in the summer. My husband is also the chairman for the wooden boat show in our area. It's coming up in only a few weeks.

I found some pictures that my husband took from the 2005 show. I think all the boats I picked he helped restore. This kit had the perfect colors & the wonderful water background paper. I think I was most excited about the lighthouse though. We have two lighthouses within a mile of the show.

I have so enjoyed the opportunity to use this kit by Rina. The template is by AmyM Designs.

Me and Nathan

There's very few pictures of me, since I'm usually running the camera. This photo was taken Mother's Day. It was a pretty warm day, which is surprising for May, & the sun was very bright. Nathan sat on my lap for just a few seconds & posed for a couple quick photos. The sun was a little too high for good photos, but I begged my husband to snap a few.

I created this layout for the Scraplift challenge at Scrappity-Doo-Dah. I used the new June Bits2Kits mega Kit called A Father's Love.

June 2009 Calendar

Here's my June 2009 Calendar. I usually make my calendar days before I need it. I like to just print my calendar out using my printer & hang it up on the fridge. It works well for me to record important notes in our schedule.
