Fun on Jetski

My brother & his wife was over last weekend & they brought the Jetski. Nathan was more than willing to go for a ride. I captured this moment right before they took off.

My Layout: Fun on Jetski

I created this layout using a kit by SAS Designs called Cloudy Reflection (available at Bits2Kits). This kit is so gorgeous. I just love the soft purple & teal colors. It's a fabulous kit & I enjoyed working with it to create my layout.

I Love Templates!!!

Did I mention that I love templates? I'm so excited that HeavenlyScraps has a new set of templates in her stores. Here's the first layout I created with one of the templates in her kit & her new Christmas Wishes Minikit. It was great to get to one of my Christmas photos that I haven't scrapped yet.

Templates by Sine

I've been busy creating layouts with 2 templates that I have by Sine. I had lots of fun with layouts. Usually the last layout I created is my favorite layout. Every once in a while, I'll struggle with one or not have the elements or colors that I want to finish a layout.

These last 4 layouts are some of my favorites. I've been loving the new camera my husband bought me & have been taking tons of pictures. I hope you like these too.

Playtime

HeavenlyScraps has a very cute kit called Playtime. It was created for outside play. I love the fun bright colors & all of the elements (tire swing, birds, ant, picnic table).

I created two layouts of my children with this kit. This kit matches my photos perfectly. This one is my favorite with the grass on the bottom. I created it last but I'll list it first.

Play2

Play

I created this one for the July BeenThereScrappedThat Template challenge. I love, love, love the orange. Chris did a great job with the papers in the kit and that little bird is so awesome. I had to figure out a way to use him in my layout. I am looking forward to using this kit with more photos. Kaitlyn, for some reason, has a couple orange shirts & this kit is perfect for.

Journaling Challenge at CLD

I posted the next journaling challenge up at Color Line Design.

I challenge you to grab your camera & go outside. For this challenge I would like to see some pictures & journaling about nature. You can take pictures of nature (flowers, sunsets, animals), of you enjoying nature, or you can use photos from someone else like I did.

Here's the layout I made for the challenge. My mom had a little fawn that came into her backyard. I thought these photos were adorable.

I created this layout from a kit at Bits2Kits called It's a Buggy World - Caterpillar (by SAS Designs).

In search of a kit

I got my wedding negatives burned to a CD. Now that I have digital photos from my wedding, I need to find just the right kit. I'm looking for something with delicate flowers, maybe purple, to use for my wedding photos. I'm hoping to have some color in the kit, not just white. Please let me know of a kit that you think might work.

Scrapkitten - Whispering Sweets

I finished my first layout using a kit called Whispering Sweets by ScrapKitten. This kit is perfect for Easter layouts. There are tons of little ducks and eggs included.

Easter was fun this year. Kaitlyn was actually big enough to help search for her basket. I wanted to record the memory, but we forgot our digital camera at my father-in-laws the day before. We had to hunt down the 35 mm & see if we had any film. I think these are the first non-digital pictures we have taken in the last 4 years. I got so used to seeing the picture after I'm done. It was quite a challenge to guess if I had a good picture. I've decided I've become very spoiled & love digital cameras.
Whispering Sweets is available at Bits2Kits.com. Here's a preview of the kit. I love the fun pastels used in this kit.

Eirene

I've recently become an Eirene fan. She's one of the designers at Bits2Kits. I just worked with my first kit from her called Pretty Dirty. I enjoyed doing this layout of my little boy in his bibs. She has colored some elements & also included grey scales elements that are easy to customize the color.
I think her elements are fun & unique. There doesn't seem to be too many boy kits out there, so I was kind of excited to be able to scrap a page of Nathan, when he was little, with her kit.

Scrapkitten just joined the stored at Bits2Kits. I'm currently working on a layout using her kit Whispering Sweets. I found an awesome freebie on your blog for a kit called Blueberry Nights. Grab it quick because she will be adding it to her store soon.

Scraplift Challenge

I just found a fun challenge at Sweet Shoppe Designs called July Treat of the Month-Ranie O'Dell . This is such a fun challenge. They picked out a fabulous person for us to lift a layout from her gallery. All of her layouts are so very nice. I picked out one called Popo. I had four photos & I thought it was beautiful.

I decided to use a kit by HeavenlyScraps called Celebrate, since it went so well with the Fourth of July photos of my husband & son in our boat. The items in kit didn't allow me to follow the layout I was lifting, so I think her layout was more inspiration.

I'm happy with my finished layout. I love the blues in this layout. It was a fantastic day. The water & sky were so blue.

Wedding Layout

Here is a lovely picture of my brother & my son at his wedding. I struggled a little bit with this layout. It was the first time I tried to use black as a background color. I fell in love with this paper when I saw it.
Everything I used is from Helen's 2 mini kits - Fancy Valentine 1 & 2. These two kits had such elegant items, I thought they would work well with wedding photos. I thought the photos were just too adorable. My son was just 6 months old at this time. Even though I struggled for a couple days, I enjoy the end result.

Layout using Sizzling Summer

I think the July CLD Collaboration kit that you get for free (Just by doing 3 challengs) is just fabulous. I fell in love with the blue shades of paper & elements in this kit.

I thought they worked well with the photos I took of Kaitlyn at the playground a couple weeks ago. This kit also included templates, which I thought was really cool. Here's my layout I named Playground.

The playground was really fun until Kaitlyn learned to go through the tunnel. The playground is rated for children 8-12. We go there because its the closest one to our house (without driving a 1/2 hour). It was a little scary because after the tunnel is an unsteady walkway. I'm sure this is fun for the older kids, but she's not ready for that.

Take a look at her happy face when she before she went in the tunnel. I was telling her "no" "no".

HeavenlyScraps has posted a fun freebie on her blog that coordinates with her Celebrate Kit. Click my link to go directly to her blog.

I'll include a preview of her Celebrate kit. This is a huge kit. The preview doesn't show all the elements. I think you'll really get a done of scrapping supplies for you money if you pick this one up in her stores.

Journaling Challenge at CLD

I'm hosting the Journaling Challenge for July at CLD.

I wanted to make this first challenge of the month super easy so everyone can join in. Here's your challenge, pick an event or season that you enjoy & journal about it.
