Butterfly Album

I've been working on a butterfly album for the grandmas. I used HeavenlyScraps Spring Butterfly QP Album to create my layouts. I think they are fun.

Memory Boxes

I've decided to use Helen's memory boxes as the 1st page for my children's scrapbooks. I really like these boxes. They are so fun to work with. This kit can be used for either a boy or girl, since it comes with boxes & elements in pink, green, & blue.

Here's Kaitlyn's page. She was only a couple days old. This picture was taken right after her bath. Her hair was still all fuzzy. She just loved being pampered with her little bath. The nurse treated her like she was at a spa.

Helen's Challenge

Helen posted a new technique challenge @ GoDigitalScrapbooking.com. This challenge included making papers from your photos. I decided to try this with some lighthouse pictures that were taken a few years back. I blended my photo with paper from Helen's Lavender Field kit.

I think the result is pretty neat. The background photo almost has a canvas look to it.

Helen's Lavender Fields Kit

Helen has a new kit out in the GoDigitalScrapbooking store called Lavender Fields. Here's a layout I put together recently with this new kit.

I love how it turned out. Kaitlyn is so tiny. I think this reflects her desire to explore the big world. The lavender flowers are so adorable. I really enjoyed using the white picket fence in my layout.

June Challenge @ CLD

I posted the 2nd June Journaling Challenge @ ColorLineDesign.

For this second challenge of the month, I would like you to journal about the age of someone or something. It could be you, your children, your pets, your favorite shoes, etc.I did a layout of myself when I was 6 months old. I called this layout Cherry Dress.

Challenge Layout

I love doing challenges. Bits2Kits had a kit that they provided. It had great oranges & yellows. I knew just the pictures for this kit. I named this Outside.

I love the result. I think it is very simple & that's what I like. I tried adding some additional elements, but I don't really like adding elements just for the sake of adding elements. I liked having the picture & the title being the focus.

New CT for Helen

I'm honored to write that I've been chosen as a CT for Helen Ehrenhofer. From what I've seen of her kits she has a very dainty style that should be fun to work with. She sells her kits at GoDigitalScrapbooking.com.

Helen just released these great memory boxes for digital scrapbooking. Here's my 1st layout using items from her Assorted Memory Boxes Kit. It was so easy to use & I think it has a fun unique result.

Challenges at ScrapShanty

I LOVE to do template & scraplift challenges. Here's a fun one that I did at ScrapShanty for the week of May 30th. All the papers & elements I got from ColorLineDesign from their awesome May collab kit. I earned this kit for free by doing three challenges at CLD. I thought the colors went perfect with my photos.

I also tried a new font that I haven't used before. It's called "All Used Up." It's different than the fonts I usually used, but I thought it was different & gave it a try.

I'm Hosting a Challenge

I'm hosting the Journaling Challenge this month at ColorLineDesign. For the 1st challenge this month, I would like you to scrap a simple moment in time. This is a moment where nothing special, in particular, is happening. It is a moment that if you don't consiously realize that you are thinking about this moment all your thoughts will go away & will be lost forever.

Here's my layout for the challenge. May 31st 10 am. It was a beautiful Saturday morning. There wasn't anything special going on, but I wanted to record the simple every day things that I will lose from my head in a just a little while.

There have been some great layouts posted for this challenge already. It's so fun to see these special layouts. Come check these out in the CLD gallery.
